I SO WANT ONE OF THESE!
Live Scribe Smart Pen - a geek's dream pen! Finally a pen I will love almost as much as my computer!
It would make my life so much easier...well kind of. I tried tape recording and never really listened to the tapes. Tried digital recording and found it too much of a hassle and was too embarrassed to record the lecture. I currently bring my laptop to class, but it's such a hassle to whip it out and put it away or worry about running out of batteries especially when I have back to back lecture of 6 hours and my laptop only runs 3 or so hours on battery and I'm oh so far from the outlet jack. This pen would be super awesome...if I could read my own writing that is...but not to fear, because it record audio too. Now I would love this if it worked exactly the way it is supposed to, but I'm sure there are some bugs that need to be fixed and I have no idea how good the audio is and how beneficial it would be in a large lecture hall or if there is a lot of peripheral noise in the room. I wonder just how sensitive the pen is to other noise? Anywho, just thought this was a genius idea. I know I am more likely to look over my written notes or typed notes if I have audio to refresh my memory. Too bad I'm at the point of my career where I may not need one of these anymore for lecture purposes *sigh*.
Oh right, and I'm counting down the hours until my last class for the freaking summer. W00t! I have a presentation tomorrow at the Community Coalition. I hope our report comes out great. This project has been a pretty cool experience. It certainly opens your eyes to the realities of another world. It helps put a face to the words, and brings humanity to the image.
