Los Angeles Film Festival June 19-29
I've been posting through tabulas lately and have found a somewhat annoying sync problem. My posts on Lj, and probably on my website too, are not posting in PST. as I look back on a few of my entries it looks like I'm posting at crazy hours of the morning. While I do make posts really late, I don't do it all the time. I had to try and "fix" a few of them for my own sanity. I wonder how I can fix this without going crazy...
On another note, I was going through my posts to see where the problem lie, and I see an entry for the LAFilm Festival. I check their site, and lo and behold tickets are available beginning today.If you live locally, just head over to UCLA/Westwood and buy your tickets. The all access premier pass is $1000, but you can get an after dark pass for $50. Of course you can purchase tickets individually for each film you want to watch. Price per is $12, so definitely doable if you only have interest in one or two films showing here.
Luckily the actual festival doesn't begin until the 19th-29th. I'll still have er, 25-28th to actually go. What sadness. There's a lot of "interesting" entries this year. Surprise, surprise, who would have thought?
Yes you see right. Moulder and Scully are back...on the big screen. I'm sure you X-Files nerds are leaping our of your seats. ^___^
"Wanted" with Angelina Jolie will be shown opening night and freaking Hellboy II (how sad). I don't know if Jolie will be there herself, but I know a few independent film makers and directors will be. I'm tempted to just drive to Westwood and study there instead of here at the Marina. I'm not feeling the educational vibe by the beach.
