Bolt
Last night, after a horrendous 45 min 6 mile drive down the 405, Art and I finally met up at the Geffen Playhouse in Westwood. I finally got him to set foot on campus and I gave a quick tour. I miss walking there "slowly" with Cris :( but anwyay it was still fun. I was in a hurry cause we were going to eat and then watch Bolt afterwards. So I weaved through mid, parts of north and south campus before going through LS, the old medical center and down to Enzo's. of course it had to be Enzo's. Since all of my friends have eaten there, there was no way I wouldn't take Art there. That was the first time I had a calzone. Art had the lasagne (which was sadly very dry), but my calzone was yummy and fresh. Luckily we shared. We actually had just enough time to walk down Bronxton and get to the movie before the preveiews even started. It's funny how the 4 people there saw Transporter and the guy behind the counter was a bid miffed when I asked Art what the movie was about. He said it was just some movie about a car and things blow up. Lol. Yeah, I could care less, but the counter guy said it was by some director who he claims to be a God. Whatever. So we went in to watch Bolt. The theatre was nice and wide and clean just for us 6 people or so. It was nice. The movie was pretty good and I even got teary eyed near the end. I think it's because I missed Riley. Art missed pancake. Before the movie began he kind of dared me to not say anything until the end of the movie. So I stayed silent. He got freaked out as the credits were running that I still wasn't talking. I felt bad cause he thought I was angry. All I could do was smile. I had to give in, although to me the end of the movie is once the credits are completely over. Damn those long credits.
I was initially wearing a wool coat and scarf, but Westwood was just so packed it was warm. I had to ditch my scarf and coat. Unfortunately it got cold later, so he gave me his jacket and I essentially had a mini blanket on me. lol. xs to XL. go figure. Art the giant. :P so we ended the night after the movie. It only took me 10-15 mins to get home vs 45-50 mins going there. That was just stupid. So I make it home just before 11. It was nice. In all, the movie was cute. I'm glad I didn't know who the voice actors were, cause if I did, I would have been pretty pissed and wouldn't have been able to concentrate on the movie. it's cute. Bolt was especially cute as the baby. What I will definitely give to Disney is their ability to make their surroundings seamless and so realistic even with the cartoony characters. Anyway, after a day of testing and IEPs and ethical discussions, i'm so done for today. I want to go to bed. As for tomorrow, I guess that day is reserved for just the two of us.
