Moving on Up

We had a random free day yesterday aside from apartment checking and it turned out really well. I got to see two cool places with two really cool people. The first one I immediately loved. Homey, clean, awesome kitchen and in unit washer and dryer! Plus it's across the street from the Bahay Natin store and two blocks from St. Agustine's!

The other is a cool artsy place perfect or aspiring artists, actors, film makers, photographers, etc. The girl I met is a professional photographer and had so many cool post cards, posters, pictures and such around the place. It was pretty tight inside, but it definitely had character everywhere. Red stained floors, unique 50s style cabinets, surf shop closets and bathroom. Definitely trendy to say the least.

In the end, I chose the homey one near downtown Culver City, just because it was more comfortable and homey. I'm a bit past the cool and trendy chic Hollywood feel at this point. If only I found such a place while I was in college, I would have definitely had fun with that. Both girls were very cool and matched my personality on different levels. While for the artsy place, we were walking towards the back of the building when she saw a huge canvas being thrown out. It was such a shame and very cool too. The only thing was the canvas was warped a bit, but that's nothing a little restreching couldn't handle. Definitely someone I could talk artsy with. She liked me and I'm sure we would be pretty good friends if I decided to move in.

So this morning, I spoke with the girl I'm moving in with (her roommate is the one who interviewed me). She is very cool and very sweet. I know if all goes well that she will be an awesome roommate. We both love baking and cooking, so that will definitely fly pretty well. I just hope everything will work out and I get my name on that lease asap. The only thing I'm worried about atm is moving my stuff. I need boxes and help throwing the furniture out. Anyone need a refrigerator?
