Full Circle Summer

After a few returns from my practicum supervisor, my portfolio was accepted and is done. I received two A's for my two summer classes and received credit for practicum. I also received a notice from the CTC that I have been approved for my internship credential so I can officially work in the schools :) Aside from that, I've been worrying about not being able to pay for this semester. Effing financial aid always comes last minute before the calculation of charges are due. I am going to campus tomorrow to turn in what I need.

I also turned in my baby to sony to get them to fix the hinges of my laptop a few weeks ago and I'll finally get my hands on it tomorrow finally. I swear after this experience I don't think I'll be getting a sony any time soon unless they get their act together. They used to have better quality design, but now they're pumping out aesthetically pleasing laptops with poor design. The worst part is they won't take responsibility and charge their customers for something that is clearly not the fault of the consumer.

Now to back track, last week bebeh and I went to a wedding in Palos Verdes. It was really nice and I had a lot of fun even though bebeh refused to the death when confronted with dancing. No worries bebeh, I can dance with other smexy men while you sit down and relax :P j/k I love you bebeh even if you are dance phobic.

Anyway I took in an extended warranty plan (something I never do), because of what happened to my last laptop. That thing came in handy since it went through Best Buy and not them. Saved me from buying a completely new laptop :)
Now I have two weeks left of my summer before I head back to LA for the rest of the year. I can't believe I'm graduating in a few months. I don't feel like a school psychologist yet, but I guess it's now or never. My life is slowly unfolding in the way I had hoped it would and despite all the difficulties in the events, God has continued to give me strength to do my best. God has been so good to me.

Summer 2009

[I updated this post with pictures.]

The 4th of July marked the actual real beginning of my summer. Despite not being home for more than 1.5 days a month, its amazing how much it is pretty much the same after being here for about 3 days. I start to feel really lazy and fat >_> I start feeling really unproductive like I need to study or something (which I actually need to do). I turned in my practicum portfolio and hope the contents are A-ok. I'll find out by the end of July I guess.

Anyway 4th of July was fun. I got to spend it with the next generation of cousins. We had it at my grandfather's house and then we went to my uncle's house to watch fireworks in his backyard. They had a 25 minute fireworks show at the local high school and it was clearly visible at his house. Perfect seats in the comfort of a grassy backyard patio. :) I didn't bother taking pictures of fireworks since they all pretty much look the same no matter where you go. But they were nice. The little cousins were "oooh" ing and "ahhhh" ing with each burst of color while I sat in the lawn chair and petted Mugsy (an 8-year old gray hound), and ate some maui kettle chips. Oakley (a gigantic rust colored retriever type dog) cowered in the garage. My uncle also showed us a slide show of his grad children (my cousins' babies who live in Kalamazoo, Michigan. They're growing so big. I'm glad they'll be back here later this year.

Last month, my mom's siter passed away. Despite this, the 4th of July celebration still continued and my cousins in Canada are prepping for my little nephew's baptism. Later this month is my lola's death anniversary, my two nephews' birthdays, my cousin's birthday, and bebeh's friend's wedding which will be at Palos Verdes I think. Busy, busy. I still dont have a dress to wear. So, all in all, a very busy summer thus far and I haven't really had that much time to relax. I did get burnt though. Thanks to the hot, hot, hot, scorching sun, beach, and California weather. Maybe it will melt away my fat >_>
Last of my fun summer days.
