Norms on Pico, Miyako on Venice

Bebeh and I went to Norms on Thanksgiving day and had their brunch before I went home for Thanksgiving. I don't know why he says "it's nothing special" but I do really like Norm's. It's an established old diner chain, but the feed is All American and comforting. Service is good, and the food is well priced especially for the amount you get. I think alot of senior citizens like coming here too cause of their discounts and college kids near by come cause it's so cheap and filling. I'd definitely recommend coming to their West LA location on Pico Blvd. Just be weary of the parking cause it can get full fast and getting out of the lot during peek hours of traffic on Pico Blvd can be a biach.

The crepe came with their breakfast special. You have your choice of strawberry, apple cinnamon, and blueberry. I think I ordered the strawberry. It was good, but came out kinda messy. The pastry chef even came out to see the guests, which I thought was really nice I thought, especially since you don't see that kind of thing at a diner type place like Denny's or Coco's.
The last picture is a yellow cake with vanilla ice cream. It was a nice touch for dessert during the steak dinner Bebeh and I had a week or two ago. Needless to say, we were more than stuffed after that.

Back Picture Posts of one Young Dong...get em while they're hot and young

Welcome to Young Dong Restaurant. You can have one hot Young Dong Special.
Ok so the picture of the girl isn't from the restaurant, but it is facing the restaurant. This is the latest (as far as I know), GTA installment.

I Passed!

Today around lunch I get an email from one of my classmates saying our results from the Praxis were in. My hands suddenly got cold and sweaty. I had just finished testing a kid earlier and was in the middle of scoring and interpreting the data when I received the email. I was wondering when they would be ready for us. My bf was asking me when our results would be in just the other day. I told him they should be due soon around this week or next week (they said 3-4 weeks). So anyway, I eagerly check the ets website and have so much freaking trouble logging in that stupid site (ETS makes my stomach churn every time I have to take a stupid test from them). I guess they were being bogged down by so many people checking their scores at the same time?. Well after multiple tries for the past 10 minutes, I give up and decide that knowing now and knowing an hour from now won't really do me much good. Plust I had a lot of work to do, so I continued to do my work and got ready for the meeting I was supposed to be in. After I get back making notes of another case I was working on, I refresh the page. Lo and behold I am suddenly logged in. I eagerly download the PDF (they no longer mail the scores I guess), and open the document. At first I couldn't tell if I had passed or even where the scores were. Then I see the confidence interval (your true score lies between X and Y) and then I finally see my score. I am relieved. I passed our school's graduation requirement, but even greater, I qualified for NCSP (Nationally Certified School Psychologist). No, they don't just give you national certification if you meet the point cut off. You have to apply and meet other requirements, but that was the hardest part and that is over.

So yes folks I passed the licensure exams. All I have to do is graduate and turn in my documents and I will officially a school psychologist in a few months :)

FYI: National certification quota is 165 out of 200. Each state has a different score you need to practice in that state. I have no idea what California's is, but I know some are around 145 or something.

Our school's passing score to graduate is 160, so with that I wanted to aim for NCSP. It's just another 5 points. That said I got a 172. I'm pretty content considering I don't think I studied enough. In fact, I didn't even sleep well before the exam and I was almost late, but that's another story. Definitely the worst testing experirence in my life. I am just glad my scores went through and I passed. Thank you God. Everything worked out all right in the end. It seems to always be the case, so I am thankful. Now, I eagerly look forward to the immediate future. I need a break. It's been a quick, but exahusting semester. Good night people.
